Amanda McGuire, a fresh, vibrant and exciting new talent from Sydney, delivers a new set of cutting edge rock/pop songs with the release of ‘Supernaturally’.

Packed with punchy rock riffs and big vocals, Amanda's EP ''Supernaturally'' is characterised by the sounds of the acoustic guitar backed by a strong, energetic and yet still sensitive rock band.

Forming her own band at school, then going on to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in music from the University of N.S.W, Amanda pursued her passion for writing by travelling to Nashville TN in 2002. She learnt from some of the best.

Since returning to Sydney, she has been performing solo and sometimes with a band in Sydney venues such as Cronulla's The Brass Monkey and Club Acoustica in Surry Hills,  Amanda also travels to country towns such as Condobolin, Bathurst & Orange, just to name a few.

A dynamic performer with a distinct style and flavour, Amanda McGuire shines through with her EP ''Supernaturally''.

Continuing her passion for songwriting, Amanda strives to master her craft in many genres and styles, with rock being her favourite.

Amanda entered the track 'Supernaturally' in the 2005 Australian Songwriting Association Competition where she gained 7th in the Gospel category.

In addition to this, Amanda entered her new single, 'Over & Over' into the International Songwriting Competition and made it through as a finalist in the second round judging in the Pop category.

August 2006 Amanda entered 'Over & Over' in the 2006 Australian Songwriting Association Competition and gained 5th position in the Pop category. Proud of her achievement, Amanda was presented with her certificate by Rock Historian Guru, Glen A Baker.

Amanda's powerful new single(Sept 2006), 'The Value Of One', was inspired by the 'Air Force Academy Rape Scandel' aired by the Oprah Winfrey Show. Not just focusing on rape, 'The Value Of One' also addresses domestic violence and child poverty.

Amanda picture paints these painful types of abuse so succintly, and challenges social values by declaring, "The value of none seems higher than the one", and delightfully still entertains.

Her new demo 'Desperately' brilliiantly demonstrates her love of rock/pop by combining the two genres for a mainstream audience.

As a songwriter, Amanda is poetic and relevant for a modern age combining pop with the city sounds of rock. As a performer she is passionate, emotive and ultimately doesn't hold back... but gives her all!!
